HABA is a German toy maker best known for their premier quality wooden toys and award-winning games, many of which were developed by Educators and NeuroScience Professionals to help incorporate crucial areas of learning into play. Their promise to invent 'Inquisitive Things for Inquisitive Minds' has grown an extensive collection of play things for children of all ages, ensuring that there is always something for every child, no matter their age, interests, or abilities.
Made in Bad Rodach, Germany
Most of HABA's wooden toys come to life in Bad Rodach, Germany. From solid Beech, Birch, Maple and Bass wood, meticulous consideration is given to choosing the right wood for the right toy. Once cut, shaped, and then sanded down, these wood pieces are then passed on to the paint shop; where a water-soluble varnish that is safe, non-toxic, and absolutely free of any harmful chemicals, is used to finish off the product.
The PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) label, which all of HABA's wooden products have carried since 2010, is a true testament to the company's commitment to the environment. This means that all wood used in their production comes from sustainable forestry, preserving not just the ecological balance of our planet’s forests; but also the socio-cultural balance of the communities who depend on these forests for daily living.
